The Bomb Squad Dropping in on MIS

Only two more get-ups til the Bomb Squad invaded the infield at MIS once again this year. We've spend a considerable number of hours this spring upgrading our bus so that we have places to sleep, storage, etc. We're really pumped to get it on the road to the Irish Hills and park it in the infield.

We will be in site 3-B-16 in June (same place as last year). We've got "Deep Fry" Don as our new neighbor in 3-B-15, so we'd like to welcome him and his crew to the neighborhood. They are movin-on-up from row "C" to row "B" this year. Now their in the high rent district :-)

We're really excited to get back to the track, spend time with all of our infield/Turn 3 neighbors and friends, and watch some racing! We should be at the track around 2:30-3:00pm on Thursday afternoon. For the June race our crew will consist of Marc, Darrin, Tom, Willy, and Al. Also, June marks Al's 20th Anniversary in the MIS infield!!! Make sure to congratulate him when you see him this weekend. And Willy is back with us after taking 2010 off, and we're very glad to have him back. He's one of the original Bomb Squad members, and awesome guy, and an integral part of the machine. Finally, Stacey will be in the infield and is bringing three rookies with her, so be careful. We'll make sure they are fully visible with yellow rookie tape, so there aren't any "incidents" that involve them. Gotta steer clear of those rooks.

There's some good on track action happening these days also. Jeff Gordon's coming off a win, his second of the season and 84th of his career (3rd most wins in history.) Kyle Busch is coming off a 3rd place finish, but also a penalty for illegal ride height and an ass whipping by Richard Childress. Jimmy Johnson is continuing to run Top 5's and stay in Championship contention, looking to make it six in a row. Carl Edwards and the Roush-Fenway crew is coming off a blown motor in Pocono, but they always run well at Michigan, so he and Matt Kenseth will likely be players this weekend. And dare I leave out Junior, who is third in the points and knocking on the door of victory lane just about every week. Don't forget...his last win was at MIS a couple years ago.

It's going to be a great weekend - both on the track and off. Looking forward to hanging out with you guys/gals this weekend! See you in a couple days.

Marc.
